Today my 6 year old asked me a question that I did not have the answer to. So I hope you all can help me. His question was, "Why do they call them ducts?".

Seems like a really good question to me. Thanks for the help.

A duct is simply something that transports fluid.

tear duct
bile duct
aqueduct

We use air ducts.

I think that the Ducts are playing hockey for the Stanley cup starting to-nite, against the Ottawa Senators .
