I understand that for an AC unit to be efficient and to de-humidify properly runs times should be longer vs. a unit that will short cycle. I also understand a zoned system may have shorter run times when only a single zone is not satisfied. Is there a contradiction here of sorts or am I missing something? I know the extra airflow is handled via a bypass, but what about the fact that an AC unit would not run long enough if it were only trying to condition a single zone. Does this cause a problem?
