New to this forum; got a quote and needed some input on whether the price is fair, or not:
remove old furnace and A/C, and replace with 90ton BTU Lennox (92.1%+ Efficiency) G-43, and Lennox A/C 3.5 Ton 14 SEER = $xxxx
The contractor's offered 2 years of free inspections, or on-site calls without trip charge included in this price.
Thanks!

...got a quote and needed some input on whether the price is fair, or notI'm new here, too. But I think questions about specific pricing are against the rules.
3. Home Owners - no pricing questions please
Only people who actually see your job can price it. Also, this is a site to promote the learning of HVAC technical knowledge and as such, questions of the type "$5,000 for a XXX system, is this a good price?" do not fit in with the theme of the site. Home owners, do NOT post prices.

We cannot even guess at quotes. Every installation is different. It's not a matter of just screwing on a couple of pipes.
90 tons? do you own an open-air zoo? Or are you attempting to change the climate in your whole town?

Forum rules prohibit pricing.;)
You gave conflicting information "90 ton BTU".
Lennox is a good brand.

If you have confidence that the contractor will do the job right, and stand behind his work, then whatever he is chargeing is fair. If you happen to have 2 contractors that you have equal trust and confidence in , then pick the cheaper one.

Sorry about the pricing issue. Didn't know. It's 90k BTU. No need to respond then.
