I had a Din Rail manual overload and contactor, I couldn't find anywhere, even the O.M. only had an expensive substitute. I ordered the overload and contactor from McMaster-Carr. They said we'll send it, and if its not right we'll get it picked up and credited it for free. Yesterday, at 4:00PM I ordered three more of the contactors, plus some hardware, when I got back from lunch at 1:30PM today, the order was sitting in my chair. Unbelievable service and turn around times out of these folks.

Fortunatly, their only a 45 minute ride from me. Prices are high but they have a great selection.

We use McMaster alot. They have all kinds of weird stuff a hospital needs like door and cabinet hardware ect. What really gets me is they can deliver next day even with a late order while a supplier 40 mi away takes 4 days to ship and they both charge about the same amount of frieght.

I agree- the same day shipping without charging courier blows the doors off WWGrainger and others. Yes, their pricey, but they produce. The only problem I've ever had with stock was when we needed 15 of something and they only had 12. Great tech dept too.
On the other hand,I can go into any WWG branch, and come out empty handed after trying to get a simple fan motor, using 4-5 different part numbers-wtf is with that- "we can have it here tomorrow" or "we can messenger it to you-at your expense."

I too am glad that McM-Carr is 1/2 hour from the shop.

I needed a special glue to fix the liner of my swimming pool. No of the local pool supplier ever heard of it. I called the manufacturer for a dealer. They said to call M/C. They gave me M/C part # because it is not listed in their book.

Sure enough when I called and gave M/C the # they said, "That is not listed in the book but we have it in stock. $7.95". Had it the next day.

Moral of the story. Even if you don't see it in the book, call any ways.
