does the trane xl16i come with vs mtr.

I was wandering if anybody could clear up if the trane xl16i 2 ton condensing unit comes with a vs condenser fan,the brochure says it doesn't but one contractor said it did.

The parts lists shows: MOTOR; 1/15 HP, 200/230/60/1, 825 RPM, 48 FRAME PSC, SLEEVE BEARING, CCW, 5 MFD @ 370V

I believe this is a 2 stg fan, not a true var speed fan.

Not sure about the 16 but the 14 dropped the 2 speed fan motor when the swept wing fan blade came out. It did more sound deadening than the 2 speed motor ever did.
