I have a 404a freezer with a burned out compressor with new installation of compressor which refrigerant should I use? It's my understanding that oneshot can be used with any oil and is more versatile than 404a which seems to me more logical to use since I can use it in A variety of applications on the other hand it's been said to me that there is so much 404a equipment out there that I'll have no problem using it. Help me out because I'm use to only using 22 & 410a.

stick with 404a, works great on a freezer. ;)

If it originally had 404a than I would go back with 404a. I do like the Oneshot, but I only use it to replace 502 or 408a.

If you're only used to using R22 and R410A one can assume that you're in the A/C end of this biz.

If you're wanting to get into the commercial refrigeration side, invest in the proper mainstream refrigerants that you will need to do the job right, just like the rest of us.....ie. R404A, R134A, R402A, R402B, R408A, R401A and R409A.

Did I miss any?;)

All of the above are recognized by the compressor manufacturers as acceptable refrigerants for use in their equipment. One Shot is not.

And the recovery tanks for them. Don’t forget the Mineral, A B, & POE oils. A bigger truck.

God I miss the old days.
