Thinking about getting my enveloped sealed and wondered what the pros used and what to watch out for?
Plain caulk, expandable foam, or something else on drywall gaps in/around outlets & vents?

Caulk and foam work great, nothing special except only use the low expansion foam around windows and doors. Consider removing the HVAC grilles and caulking/foaming around the edge where the boot contacts the sheetrock (or floor if in crawlspace/basement). This is usually a part of the duct leakage problem.

all grilles or just supply grilles?
mastic on inside of supply grilles where flex connects?
house has all flex in open/unsealed attic with several jct/TY's which are tied but no metal tape or mastic? Metal Tape & cover with mastic?
So many places for them to fix? Thanks! :)
