Im looking for a simple, non programmable, non mechanical, non battery dependent, thermostat that runs off the main unit’s power preferably with a back lit screen and ambient temperature display.

I am considering Honeywell’s: Focus PRO™ 5000

It is has the modern look I am looking for. But unfortunately it uses batteries. We are going to buy a lot of these and don’t ever want the hassle of changing the batteries.

Focus Pro 5000 can be wired for direct power from equipment. The batteries are either for backup in power wired installations, or as primary power without full power supply.

Ask your technician to read the installation instructions. They will figure it out.

As said above, teh 5000 can use batteries, or 24 volts from the equipment.

We use alot of them.

Why do you consider changing the battery on the annual service check a hassle.

Changing batteries is a drag. I don’t want to buy, store, test, install, or dispose of them unless I have to.

Great, so I don’t have to install the battery’s on the Honeywell Focuspro_5000.

Thankyou.

Dose anyone recommend, or warn against this model?

Since it comes in both a standard display, and a large display, we use it for our main line of thermostat.

It also comes in a 2 heat 2 cool model.

FocusPro 5000 is a good stat for what you want it to do. I've put in the large screen for my aunt, and easy to see.. I wire it up on 24volts, no battery.
