after getting estimates from carrier and lennox dealers I decided on the lennox contractor, this is what I am getting, and please tell me if I made a good choice.
G60 uhv 36a-070
xc13 030-230 2 1/2 ton with 410a condenser
a-coil c-33-38-2f
My house is a 928 square ft row with a flat roof. I didn't need duct work already had it. just needed to enlarge my return for more air flow.
Carrier was good but wasn't sure about the contractor, he was always talking in circles.

The equipment doesn't make as much a difference as the install. I am not a Lennox dealer so I wouldn't know good from bad in that line. If you are happy with and trust your contractor than yeah, you made a good choice. Just let them work and ask questions only when you really need to have the answer right then, otherwise wait til the end of the day and bring your questions to the lead installer or your sales consultant. Good Luck with the new install.

21/2 tons of cooling, over 60,000 BTU's of heating for a 928 sq ft home? Sounds big to me. How did he size your equipment?

That caught my eye too. If there are units on both sides especially. I lived in a 1200 sq ft townhouse with 50k 60%er and 1.5 ton air. Could handle below zero and 95 & humid just fine.
Only thing might be to ask how they arrived at that size. Bigger is NOT better. What kind of thermostat? Good system for a Vision Pro IAQ :)

What do the heat load calcs show?

The 70k BTU, 3-ton drive is the smallest 80% variable speed furnace Lennox makes. Aside from the sizing, my only concern is the coil. This may not be an issue, but the coil you listed does not come up as an ARI match. The 36A coil does, but not the 38A. The coil they are installing is an R-22 coil so it will need an R410A expansion valve, but I am sure they know that. That is not a problem. I doubt the 38A coil would be either, but it just doesn't come up as an ARI match. A CX34-25A or CX34-31A would give you a slightly better SEER rating @ 14.5.

As all the guy said, The size is quite large for the size of home.
2 1/2 tons? That's a bit......

I am on a breezeway, another home on one side only. the back of my home and the side get sun from morning til like 3, I have windows on the side and in the back of the house, then the front get sun til it goes down. I have a flat roof and live in phila. So maybe he took that into account.
I am going to ask him about the size since I'm wondering now, and ask him about the a-coil to make sure he's giving me the correct one.

Size can vary a lot. I used to live in an 1180 sq ft townhome with one shared wall. But with large windows on both the east and west side of the house and the north side of the house was unprotected on the side of a hill. A 12' vaulted ceiling and hardwood floors didn't help matters.
The builder installed a 2-ton system. It ran so much that the condensation kept the yard so saturated, it killed about a 5' x 8' section of grass. I wasn't in this business at the time and didn't know any better. A load calc showed I needed 3-tons every way we figured it.
You just never know.......

that coil will give you the same match as a cx34 coil will. it is a 14 seer, 12 eer match. it is the best coil match to the A model furnace they are using.
make sure they are installing with a txv.

The comedians come out early in the morning don't they??? It was a tight fit and sometimes it was tough getting the top of the cardboard box open to leave, but hey, it was home! Nice work on busting me on that. Give me a week, I'll probably come up with some more material for ya!
or.... I might have just left a 1 out. Let's try 1180 sq ft.
