Who makes command aire? I have a customer who wants a new compressor put in and here is the model number It is a command-Aire M- swpxr281ea S- K89-67158. Any suggestions???

There should be a make & model # on the compressor. If it's one of the common compressor mfr's, you shouldn't have to go directly to the unit mfr.

Commandaire is in the A-S/Trane family now. But gregp is right, if you can find the comp generic instead of through the manufacturer, you save a bundle!

I guess Trane needed something to compete with Goodman. Commandaire is some real junk, makes Goodman look like the cadilac of HVAC systems.
