Building a new 2 story house in New England. Since I work in the HVAC business, I'm spending a lot of time designing the heating system. I want to go hydro-air with radiant floor heat. I really wanted to install the in-floor on both floors. I found Warmboard to be the nicest product, but the panels are very expen$ive. I'd like to hear comments about other hydronic in floor systems. Wirsbo has those Joist Trak panels & I was thinking maybe it would be more cost effective to install them instead. Not sure if that's a good idea for the 2nd floor though. What's the best economical way to go?

One of my installers uses Watts rubber hose type in staple up underfloor in alot of his jobs, no plates and is quiet, seems to work pretty well even with high ceilings. Not my favorite but I've seen many homes with it and haven't heard any complaints.

I'm pretty sure he uses .75" and you can sweep it vert tight which helps with install
