Hey everyone..
I am taking a York training refridgeration troulbleshooting class next week, and was wondering if anyone else has taking something like this at any York brance before?
Plus the big question I have is I have heard that there are some good training videos, or Dvds, for new guys like myself. Does anyone know of these, and the bigger question, does anyone have or want to sell to me used? I am desperate for knowledge, got hands on everyday at work, going through a divorce, dont have money for school quite yet, but want something in the mean time, and I really want to get my hands on some good training material!
Thanks
Dan

Ask them at your class next week. Explain you're looking to find as much as possible. Check your local supply houses for anything you can sign out like you would at a library. Also if your a member of your local chapter RSES, the chapter secretary or librarian may have something or an idea of where to get them.

RSES books are the best!
Carrier web site has 3 good sets of books.gtac1 and 2 gtec1
Trane website has a bunch of great books. The Trane air conditioning manual!
Look under clinics. they have absorber fundamentals, centrifugal fundamentals, water piping and pumps, vav, controls, screw chiller etc.
join RSES, get the SAM and tech1-2-3.
RSES interactive C D's are excellent!
If you like to read you can also go to the MCQUAY website there are alot of chiller and piping fundamentals.
Emerson has a web page with little on line courses on compressors and you get the videos.
Good luck

I have attended the York Microprocessor school for the screw chillers and I enjoyed it. Great info... Well informed teachers... Good literature
