Are any of you guys using this to make control schematics i just got visio 2000 and it doesnt seem to have basic electrical templates,can they be added? TIA

They use it at my current shop, works well. I am still adjusting, coming from AutoCad. If you have blocks or drawings in AutoCad, Visio does a great job of importing them.

Autocad convert myself. Our copy had all the basic electrical symbols in it. Cad drawings also can be imported. Personally I think its easier to create electrical drawings in it, and the drawings just look better. Easier to import excel \ word \ images also.
Search the forums, somewhere there is a stash of stencils. Also check the MS office web site, there is a good deal of add-ons out there for free. Email me if you cannot find anything, happy to share.

Hey bobby can you upgrade Visio 2007 is out now and all the Visio technical stencils are included(I believe)

Visio 2003 and 07 have control schematics. If you do not see them type in "HVAC" in Visio search engine.
Also you can download em from here as well. (some of them anyway)
