I'm a newbee to the Lon world. I have been using LNS for a while and I recently acquired an iLON 100 e3. When I loaded the software it loaded a trial copy of Contribute 3.11. Adobe sells Contribute 4 now. When I need to purchase Contribute which version should I use. Will Contribute 4 work. Adobe does not sell Contribute 3 anymore so how would I even activate it. Looking for some guidance before I step into a big hole that's hard to back out of.

Thanks,
Zandman

I had the same question. I think it's a pretty safe bet they're compatible and would be interested to know what the benefits are to the new version.

Check out the Echelon web site.

It contains the latest service pack for iLon E3 that provides fixes a registry change that allows Contribute 4 to work without messing with folders. It also updates the DST setting to accomodate our new DST law.

Thanks,

Here is a direct link to the Echelon web site.

You want:
i.LON 100 e3 Service Pack 2 Update 4

http://www.echelon.com/support/downloads/default.asp?softwareClass=7

You will need to get a password (done automatically) to download. Also, the patch may require you to download an earlier release service pack if you are running on a very old e3 software version. The readme file on the site should be checked for instructions on what is needed.
