I have to repalec shaft seal and high speed thrust cover gasket, I have done it before but everytime it has been a complete tear down do you guys recommend tearing off the Motor or can it be done thru the man holes

Thru the D ring inspection covers.

pull the motor coupling and low speed shaft one get I belive it is 1/4 threaded rod and install in the seal try to pull out if that wont work need to use a center puller wth the 1/4 rod PROTECT THE SHAFT this how ive done plenty of them also make sure the pressure is set properly when you start up 1.5 to 3 lbs good luck
