I am looking for chart that will give me the H.P. rating for a paticular model number of both Copeland and tecumsheh compressors. Mainly small fractional HP comp. for sizing 3 in 1 start kits.
Thanks

I am beginning to wonder if a chart even exist.
I've been calling our supplier with the model # of the compressor's and they tell me what Horsepower it is. And then I can install the right 3 in 1 start kit.
But it sucks on a saturday afternoon or sunday. Because the parts house is not open.
Please Help if you can.
Thanks

The manufacturers are getting away from using horsepower ratings and using BTU instead. You can loosely figure it yourself from the BTU rating. Here are some rules of thumb;

Low temp=4000-6000 BTU per horsepower
Med temp=8000-9000 BTU per
High temp=12000 BTU per

Some Tecumsehs I recall
AEA 3425=1/5 HP
AEA 3430/4430+1/4 HP
AEA 4440=1/3 HP

Copeland's FJAM-0300 3 HP MT R404A UNIT use's CS18K6E Compressor
Copeland's FTAH-A150 1-1/2 HP R134a UNIT use's CS18K6E compressor
so is this CS18K6E Compressor a 1-1/2 HP or is it a 3 HP
