I need to set up a pager in summit version 16. I have created it in site configuration but it does not dial out when an alarm is present. The event receiver is "False" and No notification is set to always.Thanks in advance.
Did you add the phone # to the modem phone book?

Setup --> Communications --> Pager
Create pager, set for TAP or numeric only, add numbers for pager
Setup --> Communications --> BCU Modem (assumming BCU was created in BCU in Site Config.)
Open BCU Modem, check Setup page, add pager dialing number in Phonebook
Setup --> Site Configuration
On Set the Event Receiver to the pager, once you know what event class you want routed to the pager select the radio button for ALWAYS, make sure the point you want to alarm is set to the same event class in it's editor page under Classes.
You can use the Event Receiver Switch to toggle the true/false condition and change the pager from Always to True or False based on the condition of the switch. Example: Create a binary output and reference it in the Event Receiver Switch. Add that binary output to a time of day schedule so it is controlled on during daytime hours. If you set the pager to True (as opposed to Always) it wil only send the pages when the switch is true (based on the condition of the schedule controlled binary output).
You can create a separate event class for the pager and set the other classes to forward to the pager class. Delay must be at 1 minute or greater to work. This way multiple classes can be forwarded to the pager.
