liebert not stopping

lierbert challenger 2, will not shut off compressor on pump down, perform pump down test,o.k.still runs. disconected all wires to low pressure switch. still runs.contactor not stuck closed.24 volts still to contactor coil. noticed on print ,paralel circuit ,in the board itself to k1 relay. anyone ever have a problem with board relays sticking close. the print decription calls it a positive start relay.

Which level control??? More then likely you will find a jumper on the triac pull it and see if it resolves your problem. :cool:

hvacjoek, the jumper was not pluged it to any of the test pins . going back tommorrow to check seperate problem on the conderser. i will plug in test jumper on cool to see if it might bump the k1 to relay to stay open .

Could be a bad board... I have seen hundreds of them when i was a liebert rep...rule out anything external to the board before you condemn it..:cool:

yes i have had exact same problem, call tech support they will tell you

which capacitor to cut off the board, i know it sounds weird, but they will

know about that problem!

That is correct a few years ago there were some bad boards that gave nuisance alarms and the fix was to cut out the capacitors, have the number of the board handy when you call , it only applies to a certain series of pc boards...but also a low control voltage can also cause problems like you have. The capacitor thing applies to later version controlers then the ones you can put a jumper on. :cool:
