im not sure what the question is that your asking but dash showed an excellant sight about r410a
r410a absorbs more heat than r22 per pound
if your asking about the price? that changes due to the cost of living in that area

I am now installing r410a in about 20% of my new construction business, and Im sure I'm providing more value than I'm getting ROI at this point, and was wondering if there were any similar stories in the rest of the country.

Whats the big deal? The saturated temperatures run about the same, who cares about the pressure?
Most of the "special" procedures for doing repairs on POE oil systems are stuff that people should have been doing all along with all systems anyway...
Do you dare not tell an end user about it?
www.410a.com then ask an intelligent question.

In our Res/replace dept we sold less the 20 FREON (R-22)systems on almost 10 million worth of sales, and variable speed systems about 75% of the heaters and fan coils.

We don't even offer the R-22 option anymore since the 13 seer mandate last year. Although we did try to replace R-22 10 seers for folks with rental properties until those got scarce. Now a new condensor is 410-a with new evap coil to go with it. Has'nt hurt business at all. It's actually helped.

almost all of our installs are r-410, all replacement systems. we do no new construction.
