They call him Flipper.................Yeah, McCain has gone around the bend here lately. I don't think there is an issue he hasn't flip-flopped on.
He is acting like the usual political hack.
Too bad, he was my early favorite.
On to Giuliani.

It must be a real disappointment for greer deciding where a candidate stands by listening to media reports not based in objectivity.
Who will it be after Guliani is reported by some media hack to be problematic?
Jane Fonda?

you want to talk about flipper, you might want to check out Billary's latest comment's, She is doing the political "hot foot" dance, trying to say she never voted "for the war", yet, her painfully obvious political voting record speaks for itself,
sheesh,

and remember when she spoke on the Senate floor before casting her vote in favor of the war. she said that she had done her own independent intel. now that it's convenient to say bush lied, we're supposed to forget that she had her people give her the same intel, she even said it on the floor before voting...

well in all fairness, there isn't ONE politician that has not back-tracked or lied to the public..........
except maybe Obama, but! I think thats only because he has not been around long enough and doesn't have the experience yet:rolleyes: ;)

Exactly. No facts given about where her own intel came from and no significant differences from the intel supplied to Congress.
Hmmm. She can backtrack like a duck with water up her arse but she can't deny how she votes.
Look at the McCain voting record before you fall for this spin about flip-flopping. It's public and free and it's stands up quite well to scrutiny, especially when compared to any Democrat you can think of.

I agree. If O'Bambi stays "clean" after dealing with the Clinton mudslinging machine, hell, I'll consider voting for him.:D :D :D

I realize in the is case that the flip is just political but we treat a change of position like it's treason or something. Wouldn't we want a candidate who learns about something that changes his viewpoint and acts upon that new knowledge? Or we would prefer a candiate who never changes regardless of what new information they learn?

You are so right Coordinate. Learning from mistakes or changes in situations is very important in all humans, not just politicians.

I personally have no problem with a candidate changing positions based on new information, I think it shows courage and intelligence. Now, some, just change with the political wind and that I don't care for.
Interestingly enough, the Iraq mess shows both sides. Bush refuses to learn and charges blindly ahead with more of the same thing. If it's not working, I'd like to see more change. The Democrats on the other hand supported the war when it was about broken UN resolutions. Now, the political winds have changed and rather than LEARN from what we have experienced in Iraq, and use that knowledge to do better, they prefer to just run away.
We need some real leadership and while Bush has shown some signs of that, other areas he's pathetically weak in (never vetoed a spending bill for example). Hillary has shows some signs of leadership as well, unfortunately, she's leading in a direction I don't want to go.

I think it was David Geffin <sp> that said it best, The Clintons lie with such ease, it second nature ( not the exact quote, but close enough )
THATS!!!!!!!!!! the problem I have with the Clinton's. Lying is second nature to them. Although you HAVE to give them credit for being MASTERS of spin.
On top of that, regardless of political affiliation, you have to admire Bill Clinton for Legally Proving once and for all that oral sex.........is not really sex. :o
So if my wife ever catches me getting a hummer from a strange women, she has no reason to be mad:o :p :D
It ain't sex :D

People that crave power are often sociopathic and don't have a sense of guilt most people have. telling lies doesn't bother them.
I thought McCain was the best thing the repubs had going so it's sad in a way to watch this happening.
I don't think McCain is a sociopath but I'll bet some of you could name a few.
