More info. What time delay ? Outdoor unit time delay ? indoor unit fan delay ?
Outdoor time delay is to prevent short cycling/hard starting of the compressor. Indoor time delay (fan) is for efficiency and comfort. It allows the coil to become conditioned before air movement. You're a professional member ?:rolleyes:

a time delay is to prevent your system from being turned on before its pressures equalize. prevents the homeowner when playing with there tstat from turning it on, off, on
