I've been looking at the York line of heat pumps mostly because of their YorkGuard demand defrost system.

I see that their heat pumps are touting a "Hot Heat Pump" technology system that delivers hotter supply air. Is this a bunch of "hot air" (pun intended) or bunk? Anyone with experience about this?

They do what Carrier air handlers can do, run the blower much slower so the air is much hotter. Not efficient but can add a bit to comfort.

Yes, lower cfms ,but not that much efficiency loss,IMHO.

Plus with cooler supply air ,you may turn the stat. up for comfort,if you do,that may cost even more.

Most people like it. It doesn't have to be enabled.

Its a comfort feature.
