Hello,
Just making sure that I shouldn't question this combo for any reason.......
The contractor is matching up the following.....
G61MPV-36B-071 (or 070, my choice)
XC21-024-230 2 ton A/C
C33-31A-2 2.5 ton indoor coil
PCO-20C PureAir
Harmony III - 4 Zones
This combo achieves a 14.4 EER and 19.8 SEER ratings acc......which is better then if it's "matched" with a 2 ton c33-25 indoor coil (14.3 EER and 19.65 SEER)
However, if this is matched with a 3 ton indoor coil, it achieves a 14.5 EER and 20 SEER ratings (c33-38)! It would be nice to say I'm actually achieving 20 SEER.
What are the advantages/disadvantages of going with larger or smaller ton cooling capacity coils indoor compared to the rating of the AC?
If you were me, would you request the 3 ton coil?
Thanks,
Jason
