Hey Tin, when was the last time you stopped and offered to help someone on the side of the road? When was the last time you e-mailed your government representatives? Are you poverty stricken or something? Things not going your way? Lose your job, wife, life, or mind? There's a 12 step program for your kind of problems. IMO, this situation in Iraq wasn't wrong to be started. What's wrong is to go in knowing (being told) that it "is" going to take years to solve the issue and after a few years decide that its politically wrong to continue. It seems that my junior senator from N.Y. is running along these lines as well as a good portion of congress.

What happens to the people of Iraq if we have to just up and leave because our government refuses to spend the money it takes to complete the job that we promised to do. (just thinking out loud, no need to reply)

Today's society has become the "me, me, me" instant gratification society. They expect a war to follow the same guidelines. To take longer than tomorrow is unthinkable!
I believe the word my parents used was 'patience'. Seems we are lacking that today.
I do not like to hear the casualty info on the news, I know some of these people but it would be distressful even if I didn't. However, you cannot expect to turn an entire nation around in a week, month, year or even a couple. It takes patience, perseverance and persistence. Do we really want to have to revisit this situation in another ten years if we do not finish it this time? I think we've been there once.
