I know this is going to be dumped in my lap next week so I thought I would get a head start.

I checked out a building that has been closed for 2 years and what it would take to re-open.

This building has the old Trane Classroom Unit Ventilators M/N-FDSN-12A
1967-69 S/N-S3R-233-12A1
On a Trane small Chiller M/N-CGAEC60 1996

All the bearings are shot on all 20 Unit Ventilators. Most motors are unplugged.

Anyone ever rebuild these? and if so how had are they. Can it be done without touching the coil? Thanks

How cost-effective is that going to be?

i belive those are Blow-thru units...
you may have to pull them off the wall, or pull the coil

I was thinking on the same lines slimwoodie.

This would explain why no one over the years has repaired any of these.

All they keep doing is unplugging a motor when the bearing noise gets too bad.

There is no way with that many units broke will it cool this summer.

The entire blower came out in one piece very easy without removing the coil or removing the unit.

Just had to pull the pulley off the shaft and remove two bolts.

I will call Trane in the morning for new complete blowers with bearings.
