Trane Absorber

I will be going to look at a Trane absorber.
Problem is there is a Primary and then secondary
is half the size of the primary. Both are "T" into
same stack. Well when secondary comes on, it
trips all the time. The abnormal or combustion light
comes on and the unit locks out. The only way to reset
is to cycle power on it. The honeywell burner module
is fine it doesn't lock out, only trane's light.
Could it be the bigger unit is overpowering the smaller
units combustion ouput in the stack causing some
incomplete combustion?
Will the chemical mixture lock out the unit?
