I have a jobsite, it has two NAEs witha ADS front end with the usual trends and alarms and few graphics.

The company wants a to integrate the NAE points into an overall building graphics system by another party. The question is how can I pull the points out of the NAEs or ADS. This is new to me.

The NAEs are Bacnet points?
Is there any way to print out a full list of points on the NAEs in a readable, easy fashion?
Can a third parties system read the backnet points while the ADS is connected (Over the ethernet)?
Is there any way to export the points from ADS?
Would export tool (never used it) be any help?

I'm comfortable with the ADS and NAEs. I'm very fuzzy on the BACNet points issue.

On a side note, is there a graphics package for the ADS/NAE. I have a couple of NAEs that I would like to "Pretty" up for the customers so the info is more understandable.

Thanks,
Zandman

I can't answer the bacnet questions, but the graphics are simply SVG or SVGZ files for vectors, and jpg for raster. Just load up Visio 2003, do you 'pretty stuff' and save a svgz files. Edit the graphic on the NAE and add the background svgz file, drag and drop some points on it..and all done.
There is an 'Advanced graphics' package that allows animations, hints, pop-ups etc, but is a seperate pakage, not part of the ADX/NAE suite software.

Good move.

NAE once the 'Site' is set for BACnet.

The NAEs are Bacnet points?
If 'Site' is set BACnet.

Yes.

Take them out, install FX40s (graphics are FAR superior and are included), your customer will love you!,take removed junk to firing range and pretty them up with a mag of .223s.

Al is correct with the "BACnet Site" needs to be set to true. It's in the site page (very top of the tree in All Items), with the advanced button checked, towards the bottom of the page.

You should be able to command/control the NAE points from your system, with a higher priority, while the ADS is up and running.

If your customer is moving in another direction, you could make each NAE a Site Director (and BACnet Site) and get rid of the ADS (keep it for the SCT functions). You could still UI into each of them for changes, but your new control system would be the main supervisor.

NAE/ADS base graphics leave alot to be desired.
