Lawyers are making too much profit. We need to put this profit into a fund to pay for health care and fuel research.

Has anyone heard about the big house Edwards is having built. Who needs a 28,000 square foot house with a basketball court? Oh but that's right he's not rich, anytime you hear him talk he's always going after the rich.

Yes, here we have an ultra-rich politician whose heart just bleeds for the less fortunate....if it translates into votes.

I may be wrong about this, but I think I remember that Edwards made his initial fortune as an ambulance chasing lawyer.

His specialty was hitting up the insurance companies for huge settlements for the poor. And of course he got his 40-50% of the settlement.

But guess what (assuming this is true): Where did the money to pay those settlements come from? Insurance companies do not loose money... They just raise premiums next year. And who is paying those premiums? I will give you one guess, after you look in a mirror... :D

It's the dems who allow the lawyers to get rich by not allowing a loser pay in nuniance law suits and cost us all at the cash register when we pay for everything from a tool to a land survey.

Just like you defended Bush Crime Co. because you are blind retarded Republican drone....Nope Moron, there are a number of issue I don't agree with Bush on. He's not a conservative to start with or he wouldn't be pandering to idiot liberals. You should know that but then again you look like a ride at the circus.

I would rather look like a ride at the circus, than have to pay some webcam skank to hold up a sign...

Anyhoo, that has nothing to do with any of our appearances, but then again, you don't know that, because you have the mentality of a 10 year old boy.

A true conservative knows what works, and will draw the line and bring folks around to it.
A liberal will appeal to the selfish and self centered side of individuals (usually a less mature side), and in the process create class division; not a good thing for a country to have an 'us vs them' attitude between groups of citizens.
A politician will constantly kiss up to whomever they can get $$$ from to further their power base. As I am sure you can see, there are politicians on both sides of the isle. And I am also sure you can see that a politician is not always the solution (NEVER TRUST A POLITICIAN, NEVER).

What we need is a true LEADER that understands conservative principles; that can LEAD this country out of the selfish and childish idea that we can have our cake and eat it too. This leader would unite the country to all (yes ALL) roll up our sleeves and get to work to build a better country for everyone, not just this special deal for this group and that special deal for that group. This leader would remind us that we all need to (and will be required to) play by the same rules, and that includes the politicians and the corporate CEO's as well as the street sweepers and gardners. And along the way, this leader would deal with those that would try to corrupt the system for their gain at other's expense. And last but by far not least: This leader would set an example with their lifestyle of being above any form of corruption or compromise.

Kinda like us in the HVAC area putting a stop to hacks... :D

Wisdom comes after understanding, which comes after knowledge, which comes after hard work; and learning to respect authority is a foundational part of this equation. But EXPERIENCING LIFE is the key to growing through those stages of maturity. Take out any of those, and you do not reach the goal... Ask someone that has risen to the top of their respective area: An olympic Gold Medalist, or a CEO that built a company from a garage operation, or someone that won a marathon, or... well, fill it in for yourself.

IMO, the best thing that could happen to this country would be to remove 100% of all governmental entitlement programs. Then the strong would get motivated and the weak would have to swallow their pride and ask for help. It would be amazing what a GREAT nation we would have after a few years of 'house cleaning'.

And the churches would more than take up the slack for those that wanted help enough to ask. Those that were too proud to ask, well they would get an economic lesson in humility.

O K, I have my thermals on: Start the flames... :D

No flames from me, Brother. Fact of the matter is, that first very harsh winter in what is now New England they did exactly that. It was every man for himself who could and the ones who could not were taken care of. The following November, the first Thanksgiving was celebrated. They celebrated having made it through a harsh winter and found themselves successful in every facet of life and were looking forward to another like year, having harvested a bountiful crop which would see them through the winter approaching. They were so successful that they could share their bounty with the Indians. And the already hearty native Americans shared what they had as well. They shared it out of a desire to do so.

We should go back to that way.

Well, unlike you, I am not ashamed by my appearance, and I am not deterred by some simple names thrown my way. It reminds me of stuff children say to one another.

Oh, I forgot, People like James may appear as adults, but they are still children mentally. That explains alot.

Oh, I wouldn't expect that you would be ashamed of your appearance, but I do think that it's possible for people like you to assume that their appearance is somehow more flattering or more appealing to them than it is to the people looking at them.
I thought what James posted was funny. It must have struck a nerve deep inside you judging by your response.

Oh and BTW, I'm anything but ashamed of what God has given me.
My wife keeps telling me to tell you what a dickhead you are and to post my picture, but I'm not nearly vain enough to post my picture just to satisfy some ARP punk who I don't even like.:D :D :D
I will tell you what a dickhead you are though...hey ole, you're a dickhead.

So are your posts here on ARP a "joint venture"? I guess I see who actually makes the decesions in your household.... Not that there is anything wrong with that..:o

Post the Pic, who knows, I might make fun of ya, or have some respect (I doubt that, but it is possible)... There is nothing wrong with a dose of humility once in a while..

And as far as James striking a nerve with me, you are wrong about that. James makes me laugh, and thats what it is all about, in the end ya know?

So, he says I look like "a ride at the circus" and I say he posts messages with the "mentality of a 10 year old"... We are all guilty...

BTW, I don't care if you (or your wife) likes me, that has no bearing on anything in my perspective.

I do love to show her the idiotic ones though.
I've shown her yours a multitude of times.:D :D :D

Nah sorry. I'll have to decline. From my perspective, it's not who you look like...it's who you are.

I'd like to believe you, but somehow I tend to think james pissed you off royally judging from your response. You're right though...it's all good entertainment.

Oh, I dunno' if she dislikes you. She only reads some of your posts that I show her.
She's not too judgemental...she just thinks you're a dickhead because you insult me.:D :D :D :D
