Hello everyone,I built a new home in the fall of 2006.The house was fitted with 3 Bryant 2-stage furnaces, 2 of them are Bryant Perfect Heat 80T model #312AAV042090ACJA with a Carrier CNPVP3617ACAAAAA cased coil mounted on top, the 3rd unit is also a Bryant Perfect Heat 80 T model #312AAV024070AAJA with a Carrier CNPVP2414ACAAAAA mounted on top, all contolled by Honeywell Vison Pro Stats. The ac condensors were not installed because of the winter conditions. Now that spring is coming, I'll have the condensors installed.I was told that I could only install a Carrier 38TXA036000 3-TON Performance AC Condensers and then a 2-ton for the smaller unit.I would like to know is it possible to install Carrier's 38TDB036000 3-TON 2-Speed Infinity Weathermaker AC Condensers even though I do not have a variable speed fan motor in the unit, any reply is very much appreciated.

yes. you can install anything you like. A Lennox xp19 variable speed outdoor unit with the honeywell stat you mentioned would pair nicely with a negative co-efficient ambient sensor, a defrost tempering kit (90) installed in the coil interior. Or call a qualified HVAC contractor to get the job done and with a proper warranty. They can discuss appropriate and inappropriate system components.

You can, but it won't work as good.
Your blowers may not be able to slow down enough to allow the A/C's to remove the humidity in first stage.
Which would cause you to lower the setting on the thermostat to feel comfotable, and raise your electric bill.

Dude, what is a Condesor 2 sp or single??How big is this home (sq. ft.) we need to do a load calucation first. maybe this has already been established in previous post or threads.
