I am installing a generalaire 1137 power humidifier on an amana heatpump with an amana 2 stage variable speed 95 % backup. I know when someone sends a wiring sugestion I will set there and think how dumb can I be. However I am having brain lock or those three brain cells where that logic is stored are still fried from youthful transgressions. Can someone offer up an idea on how to wire this thing

use the wiring diagram that came with the humidifier.

forgot to mention I am using a honeywell visionpro 8000 t-stat that has a circ feature on the fan switch that allows the fan to run randomly 35% of the time

heatpump operates about 80 % of the time so thats out. Furnace does have a 120v tap on board humidifier but that won't help in HP mode

Have you considered wiring it to the EAC terminals which are energized when ever the blower operates? Just have to remember to shut off the water supply in the summer.
Might want to consider the use of a sail switch.
