I have a Honeywell Vision Pro (TH8321U) with an outdoor temperature sensor (C7089U) used for display only.
I am thinking about using a remote indoor sensor upstairs. (Zoning was my ideal solution during the system replacement, but adding zoning to my new dual-fuel installation pushed the price into 5 digits. Maybe another time.) The second floor is 4-6 degrees warmer than the first floor.
My thought is that changing the setting for 0340 to 1 or 3 will select which is the controlling sensor.
Must the single indoor sensor be the C7189U, or can the C7089U be used instead? I am not worried about appearance (at least not yet). If averaging multiple sensors is a better idea, then I would think the C7189U Remote Indoor would be required. How effective is sensor averaging?
Am I even close to a workable solution?
