Replacing liquid propane (LP) boiler with water heater or electric boiler--feasiible?

My one-story house with basement (1300sq' on each level) is heated by an LP fueled boiler. The radiant base-board system has two zones (one for the main floor and one for the basement).

I would like to transition to an electric heating system.

Can the LP boiler be replaced with a water heater to heat the house or would I need to use an electric boiler?

Any opinions on using these methods to heat my home?

A water heater typically would not get hot enough nor have the ability for fast recovery to heat the water. An electric hydronic system is your best bet if ya wanna go to electric. Just make sure you are aware that your electric bill will increase significantly and make sure that you have enough electric service to run an electric system. It could get costly.
