Power Requirements

Commercial office buildings - Lets say a 10 ton rooftop unit, What is a typical voltage / current requirement? (what are the possible voltages?)

If desiging a data room HVAC to be on a transfer switch & diesel generator, any concerns?

you have 208/240/480 3PH or 208/240/ 1PH THE TEN TON UNIT IT MIGHT BE 3PH,TOMTOM COOL MAN
ALSO NEED TO LOOK AT AMPS.

You should have automatic restart of the units. Some units will see the power drop on changeover and you would have to reset them manually. In the 10 ton range I think you will only find 3 phase 208/230 and 460 volt units.
