What is the life expectancy of a Lennox G61V under normal operating conditions? Lets assume it would have NOT been used during construction. And all needed maintenance would be done (including changing the filter as required).

Should it last 10 years, 20 years under optimal conditions? At what point would someone be thinking to replace the whole furnace (assuming it was used in the best of conditions right out of the box)?

Thanks.

I agree, a good install plays a big part in the life as well as GOOD maintenance. But, being a mechanical device a person could keep it in pristine condition and still have problems from time to time. It should last like tinknocker said 20 years or more.

has a lifetime warranty on hx, should last as long as parts are available for it or until a better technology comes along.
