I am putting a forced hot system into a 1200 sqf ranch. He wants to put one return in the middle of the house. I suggested a return in every room, more efficient, better air flow ect...
Is it possible to have too much return?

It's possible to mess up the installation if you don't know what you are doing in many ways.
What is a forced hot system anyway?

I would go with 2 in each room to be on the safe side.

Personally I think it's a good idea to use someone who knows what he's doing from the get go. Saves alot of money and headaches down the road.
