Hey Baldloonie... I believe this to be the serial number..it's kinda scratched out on the unit but here is what i think it is PG0980700576 I inquired on the pros forum and some of the guys seems to think it is Nordyne.. I worked on this unit a couple of years ago and I think then I discovered it to be Nordyne

Probably is. Nordyne tends to put model # into the serial # too. I think someone mentioned a Thermal Zone, which has been made by Nordyne among others.
