View Full Version : Any Packaged Units with Reversible In/Out?

Have old gaspack with inlet and outlet reversed compared to current standard and need to replace it. Everyone else on the street has adapters put in to switch inlet and outlet. (Looks like it puts extra resistance into the ducting.) A building engineer I know said he thought they made a packaged unit which allowed you to switch inlet and outlet, but he couldn't remember the brand. Anybody know of such an animal? Thanks in advance for taking time to read and for any comments you might have.

Jim

I haven't seen anything like that. When I come across a package unit where the ducts need to be reversed I use a tempstar package unit .You are talking about side by side duct connections correct?
If you are talking over/under, I believe Bard is the one that is backwards from the norm.

AIR PRO,
Yes it is a side-by-side unit. Thanks for the reply.

N/P, like I said...Tempstar has the return on the left and supply on the right if looking at the back of the unit. They are very good units also ,I believe they all come with a copeland scroll compressor now.
Good Luck!

icp made one years ago that was convertable but it didnt sell well & the
price was too high. the reverse airflow that icp has available is a heatpump only. those plenums you spoke about are very good if built right
