I know you HVAC tech's are well rounded in your training. My company is looking for an electronic's type person with a mechanical back round. Heavy in electronics, and with GREAT commom sence in mechanical skills. Self starter, no past legal issues like bankruptcy, DUI, felony arrests, etc. Navy backround would be a bonus.
I just about had one hired (HVAC tech) till he complained about his bad back, bad ankle, and couldnt climb ladders. He was about 25 yrs old. My boss about slapped me for the recomendation. :)
We are in the Norfolk VA area. It takes about a year to get a clearance. Druggies need not even apply.
The money isnt great starting out, about 40-50 K, depending on education\experience. FPL is about 80 K without OT. OT and Comp Time are part of the job. Travel is about 30%.
Since I cant post my Email on this post.. If any one is interested......

Good attitude Yoterjohn. Most wives hate their husband to travel. Mine loves it, go figure.
