Geer you better back off on this thread if you are thinking about standing up for that ****. You will succeed in gaining the undying contempt of all vets especially Nam vets. Enough said, this is one subject and person I can hardly talk about with out bringing up deep thoughts of finishing off that traitor. I was a mental basket case for about 10 years after coming home because of the hatred of the anti war demonstrators and how they spit out their vile lies about what we were doing over there. I did stop plotting in my mind how to get even. But I have never forgiven them or Hanoi Jane. :mad:

When I get too upset I’ll try and walk away and come back and reread the posts before engaging in verbal dueling. Tink, the standards for the draft were drastically lowered when the well went dry in 67 thru 70. I mentioned that in an earlier post back in Dec... I did have to serve with some who didn’t belong in the military and others who belonged in prison. I actually saw the records of several draftees who had a records a mile long and was been sent forward without his handling it. I was stationed in Korea (before going to Nam) at the replacement center for the 7th Inf. Div. back in 68 for two weeks (untill I got sent to my unit) as the NCO in charge of receiving replacements. Most carried their records but those with charges or convictions military or civilian past or present were handled by a currier. Thievery, assaults, grand auto theft, grand larceny, you name it. They made interesting reading. James was telling the truth. Perhaps he could have said it a little better. The majority was dedicated and we did out best under trying circumstances.
