My trane furnace does not stay fired up on first try for more than a few seconds. When the thermostat sends to start it up, my fan comes on, then I hear the ignitor, and then it fires up and goes out. It waits 30 seconds and ignites again and stays on. I just cleaned out the dust inside and could there be dust in the gas venturris (sic) or something like that? thanks a lot!

Could be dust. Or gas pressure, or cracked hx, or improper venting, or restricted cross lighter, or flame senser, or faulty ignition control, or gas valve or heat anticipator etc.

Time to call and have the furnace serviced - there's nothing in the gas compartment that you can fix yourself.

What they are trying to say is sorry, we can't help diy's. The best advice is to call a reputable hvac contractor and let them check it. It may just need a good, professional cleaning.
