as for 1 hp ductless air-con outdoor unit, after a compressor replacement after burnout, where shall I put the liquid line drier, somewhere in between condenser and capillary tube or after capillary tube ?

Liquid line filters go before the metering device.

Some ductless systems are not supposed to have a filter drier.. You should check with the manufacturer about it for your specific unit. We have already installed filter driers for 1 day after a compressor change out and then removed them.

actually which one is more suitable for the cleaning work after compressor burnout? liquid line or suction line drier ? or even both ?

we do both liquid and suction along with a R-11 flush....
then remove both filters after a day.

And a good long vacuum probably would probably not hurt much either. :D
