Codewriter,

I need to integrate some Invensys Lon fancoil controllers into an FX40. I have no XIF files for each of the specific controllers installed on the job by another contractor. I do have a recent XIF file that I downloaded from the lonmark website for this particular Invensys controller. Is this all I need to create a XML file using workbench pro? I discovered the devices and learned the NV's, but I am unable to see some of the points within each of the controllers? I don't have much Lon experience, but have done several FX40/FX servers using mostly N2 products. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, FXdude

Hey FXdude,

The .xif from lonmark.org is exactly what you need

Here is a step by step to create your own .lnml

1. Open Workbench
2. Tools/Lon Xml Tool
3. Working Dir - point this to where you want to save the .lnml file
Xif File - Point this to where you have the .xif file
Resource Dir - You can leave this blank for this job
4. Hit the compile button
5. Now just point the lon device to use that .lnml file

Let me know how that works for you.
