On Monday, the U.S House of Representatives took a day off to watch the BCS Championship football game.
The game began in prime time at 8 pm.
Since when does athletics become more important than the functions of our government?
I didn't vote our representatives in to office to stay home and watch sports.

Gee, and they were so gung-ho about working more, increasing their work week etc. I didn't get a day off for the BCS why should they?

Yet, we hear them babbling about their "first 100 hours".
I guess the BCS Championship Game was entirely too important to pass up in favor of doing what's best for the country and all.
