I was reading a post on this forum recently and it was regarding money and wages of DDC techs. This brings me to my question, how much does the average DDC tech,with 10 years experience, make. Lets assume this person lives in Toronto Canada. And works for a small 7 crew company.

A union control guy make around $38.00 per hour and full benefits. If your sharp with DDC, you can negotiate a couple more bucks an hour and other perks. It doesn't matter if your in a big or small shop, as long as it's a union shop.

In my area (southwest USA) techs make any where from $10-$15/hr for a beginner to around $35-$40 for a top tech with a bunch of experience. Most average around $25-$30.

Thanks, I was just wondering becasue its almost house buying time and wonder where I stand. Although I have just started in this business, haven`t reached the ten year year mark yet but having fun doing controls.
