Please tell the pro and cons of the controller. Thanks in advance

We have used it now for the past six months and found it to be a nice control line. Our first project with it was 9 AHU's with 33 VAV boxes. The guy that programmed/commissioned it has only been with our company and in the DDC field for about a year (his first solo DDC project too!) and he had no problems getting it up and running (which isn't the case with a lot of other over complicated systems). It isn't as powerful as some of the more established systems, but if you are looking for a user friendly and easy to program/set-up system it works well.

The company seems to be very open to suggestions and are always adding features to their hardware/software. They are about to unveil their new line of controllers in the 1st quarter 2007.

Benefits:
Native BACnet :D
Universal Input/Outputs
Good selection of controllers
Very user friendly set-up/programming/commissioning
Good factory support
Cost effective
Easily expandable (both controllers and network)
Nice sensors with LCD that can display/control points (so easy to set up)
A powerful thermostat controller that can display and control a lot of points from the system
Modem/Computer can be connected to any controller (even small zone or VAV with converter / directly to system manager or main type controllers)
Easy to transfer job/site database (one folder)
5 year warranty
No buy in (they just require at least one member of the dealership to go to their training [GO!!!!!! Victoria BC is a great place])

Weaknesses:
Software isn't as powerful as some of the more established brands (but they are always adding features)
The current generation of hardware has dedicated memory (for programming/variables/trends/runtime logs/custom tables etc.) the next generation will have free memory to create what ever type of point/program you need and not limited by set number you can create
Only one controller (largest and most expensive) and one system manager have IP connection
Not all BACnet points supported at this point
Graphics needs some work (easy to create, but you need some type of third party software to create the image [Adobe Illustrator or Coral Draw])
Not much of a recognition base in the DDC market

All in all it is a great little line. We looked at 5 other lines and tried out 3 of them (2 Lon and another BACnet) on projects and hands down Reliable was the most user friendly and cost effective. Some of the "Big-Boys" treat you like a red headed step child (no offense to any red headed step children out there) and just want you to sell their product and don't have time to help out and support new partners.

Did I mention that the training is in Victoria BC? What a great place! If you are going from the US fly to Seattle and take a float plane to Vancouver Island.

That's a pretty cool ride - definately one of the things a person needs to do and well worth the $$. And you'll save loads of customs time as they clear you right there on the dock - max line up is the other 6 people on the plane with you and you don't have to wait for your bags :). If you're lucky you'll see one of the submarines exiting the Bangor base and coming out the Hood Canal - looks incredible from 3000'.

The float plane ride from Victoria to Vancouver is also good - 'specially if the pilot has to gain altitude to miss the islands :)

Overall have not found many things that I don't like about there systems and as stated they are constantly updating the software and products.

I would wait until WINTER is over , BC getting the worst weather they have experienced in years , and for areas that get no snow that means problems when ICE / SNOW storms hit.

RELIABLE has recently house cleaned some reps out of Ontario Canada, use to be there was no required yearly sales limit / quota and no real concern if you represented other product lines.
