Yes, I use it all the time on the threads I start. :D

It just allows you to give a rating to the thread. I imagine the theory is that a thread that has a high rating might encourage more people to view it and respond.

If I came across that way, its not what I intended. The best way to make our site better for job seekers is to talk to them directly. I applaud HVAC-Talk and Contracting Business in starting this forum. I think businesses and industry professionals alike will benefit from the interaction.
