Broncos lost a player last night. Darrent Williams was killed in a drive by shooting. 'Bout all the info they are giving out so far. He was in a white hummer limo at 2:30am leaving a night club and the vehicle was shot something like 22 times.

Sound like Javon Walker was in the car too. I'll bet somebody wanted to give um crap cause they lost, threats were made both ways, and all hell broke loose outside. Like I tell my boys......... Nothing good is happening after midnight. He was a class act, only 23, 2 years in the league. Woulda been a great one.

Your another reason people should be informed before they open their stupid pie holes. It's a nice club, no problems. They went with a bunch from the Nuggets for a birthday/ny eve party. Just ran into the wrong weirdo. Just another reason the cops should be allowed to profile and have open season on gansta types of all races.

Hey, I agree whole-heartedly it's a tragedy, but how many times are we gonna sing the same old song?
These guys should know they are targets by now and should know where they are safe and not safe. You trying to tell me the place they were at has never had trouble? I know what places to avoid here in Seattle because I know what can happen. The problem is, a lot of these athletes white or black, think they are indestructable...sad.

Those Gansta types can be anywhere, specially the gangsta wannabees wanting a bad rep on the street. I could imagine being a athlete/celebrity around them. "You think your all that? Better than me? You gots all dat money? Well look what I gots" BAM
I was 23 years old. I went out then, and would have if I was rich. Whey I was young there were fights. Good ol fist fights. Nowadays they "Light um up wit a gun". It just sucks.

Yep, right now it's a vicious cycle. I see the 8 and 9 yr olds emulating these punks and it breaks my heart. Problem is there is no one around to stop it, one or both of the parents are in jail so the kids suffer. I was in the "big brother" program a few years back and tried to make a difference. When the little dude tried to start a fist-fight with me I said enough is enough and got the hell out of those projects.
I may try it again at some point.....
