If the situation in Florida is anything like it is in Texas, most HVAC service and building maintenance people do not have any tools capable of measuring CO levels in flue gases, and only a handful have an actual combustion analyzer available.
Combustion training is likely not available locally because there is no demand for it. I know in my area the lack of understanding of combustion appliances by techs in general is frightening.
Here in Texas, most of the tech schools barely even mention heating, so the typical tech school grad has to learn OTJ.

Not to common here, most boilers are fix bye the gas company, C/O checking, most cant speak english more or less check C/o levels, vents, flues, etc. :confused:
