i was helping another contractor on a job today, he had torn up his knee cap somehow. when leaving the lot of this very high end custom home we were required to hose the mud off our tires before getting onto the street or the gen.contractor would be subject to a $5000 fine if we got mud on the street. the area near folsom ca. has high levels of naturally occuring asbestos in the soil.

i guess to be near the golfcourse & all the other high end homes. i think the development started before the fuss about the asbestos started. there was one local school that dug out their campus, football field & track to put down astroturf and other artificial surfaces. it's kinda crazy seeing how the other half lives. this "house"? has 17 built in flat screen tv's going in, a home theater,a wine cellar & sits on a hill overlooking folsom lake.

Stonefly,I ran a gold mining claim near forresthills/valcanoville for about 5 years. I lived in an old miners shack that had spring water for drinking. One of the partners got pissed at us & had the water tested by the health dept. in placerville. It tested full of asbestos fibers. I`M STILL ALIVE.

It's when you breath the asbestos not drink it.

Asbestos in your water will just make your poop stick together better.
