Trying to use Rover to access a CCP3, but I get "Rover cannot find the proper plug-in fiels for this Trane device.... etc....

Any help here?

Pretty sure that you have to use the varitrac CCP software that comes with the Tracker software disc. Rover gives you that error with any lon device that it "does not have the plug-in" for, like LCI-x boards.

That stinks, varitrac software is not going to cut it for what I am trying to accomplish.

I'm curios what are you trying to do

I have a load of sites that have CCP3 panels, and want to not only add to their system, but also want them brought to a single frontend with web.
So I am trying to decode all the points and bring them into AX. I have most of them done by trial and error, but the individual zone NV's are another story.

Even then, if you cant do anything with the CCP3 with rover, how would even a trane tech be able to utilize info from the CCP3 and expose them to their other devices?

Not sure if you've seen the xif yet but you're not getting much to work with. Varitrac software is for the configuration of the zoning system. There is no plug-in for the CCP3 in Rover or LNS since this panel was only meant to communicate with the Trane Tracker system. There is no LON configuration tool needed because the Tracker handles the network configuration of the CCP3. Here is the xif anyways, take a look.

Thanks kwill, I have the .xif, and yes, its not much help.

I guess I will have to try to demux the strings out myself. What a PINA...

I don't disagree.
